Because I wouldn't trust a bunch of strangers with Pokémon. Because Pokémon don't come out of thin air. Because even if everyone here was magically a good person, I doubt they'd really understand how to raise Pokémon, and while there are a bunch of us, we can't teach hundreds of people about them.
