[Frey's been worried sick since the last experiment ended and Kaori had run off. He'd tried looking, but eventually he'd taken ill and couldn't even see straight, let alone search.

So he resorted to the journal instead.] Kaori.....? Please, are you all right?

[Hey, it's the voice of one of those imposters. Even though she has had several days to calm down, that doesn't stop the way her body cringes horribly when she hears his voice from that blasted book.

It had to happen eventually, right? There weren't that many places to hide here.]

[If Kaori listens carefully, she might notice his voice is raspy and just a little faint from the fever. He's trying to keep it even, though.]

....I kept looking for you, you know. I don't know why you ran, but... I want to know you are all right. To talk. [He had an idea of why, but....] If you don't want to come back yet... at least keep yourself safe. Please, Kaori.

[The condition of his voice briefly catches her attention, but she tried to ignore it. If she doesn't she'll go straight back to him, and she's not ready for that yet.

So... he was worried? Why would he be?]

I'm sorry. For whatever I might have done... that made you uncomfortable.

... Not your fault. [She would not have him apologizing for this. While he's not Kaoru, she still made that promise to be his little sister. And for a while, they really were, and... she felt truly warm for the first time since arriving here. All because of Frey.]

Kaori? [There's a rush of relief as he hears her voice. Finally, he got through to her.]

What is it? [What did he want? If he decided that, then she wouldn't have to sit out here wondering just what it was she wanted from this strange place.]

... I'm not your real sister. [She's in trouble back in his world, wasn't she? And he would go yo her first if she were here.]

But... we barely knew anything about each other before all this. How could we be friends? [She still knows barely anything about him.]

But that's one of the points of frienship, I think. You get to know each other. Just because I don't know everything about you, nor you about me, doesn't mean I don't care about you.

Well, how you act here is obvious..... and there are the things you've mentioned about your world and customs.

What do you mean? [She knows that the ideas of the people here are drastically different than what she had come across. It made it a little harder to blend in.]
