[Frey's been worried sick since the last experiment ended and Kaori had run off. He'd tried looking, but eventually he'd taken ill and couldn't even see straight, let alone search.

So he resorted to the journal instead.] Kaori.....? Please, are you all right?

[Hey, it's the voice of one of those imposters. Even though she has had several days to calm down, that doesn't stop the way her body cringes horribly when she hears his voice from that blasted book.

It had to happen eventually, right? There weren't that many places to hide here.]

[If Kaori listens carefully, she might notice his voice is raspy and just a little faint from the fever. He's trying to keep it even, though.]

....I kept looking for you, you know. I don't know why you ran, but... I want to know you are all right. To talk. [He had an idea of why, but....] If you don't want to come back yet... at least keep yourself safe. Please, Kaori.

[The condition of his voice briefly catches her attention, but she tried to ignore it. If she doesn't she'll go straight back to him, and she's not ready for that yet.

So... he was worried? Why would he be?]

[He had made several attempts at contacting her in the weeks after his escape from imprisonment, but eventually grew tired of the empty pang of disappointment that echoed more loudly with each failure. The question of when she would come back has run through his mind day after day. Quickly, he's realizing he needs her (a friend, someone) now more than ever. He's a mess, and trying not to be, but it doesn't work like that. So he opens the journal once more.]

Kaori? Are you there? Can you hear this? [He'll wait, forcing down a swell of timid hope.]

[Kaori had been playing with some blades of grass outside, the magical book that had appeared beside her when she woke up this morning flat on the ground. Though she didn't quite understand how to use it yet, it was nice to hear people talk and all sorts of fun stuff. But a lot of what she had heard over the past few days had also been scary.

Not that hearing her name being called out was scary, but it was definitely unexpected! Peeking into the frame she'll pick it up, wondering just who it could be.] Hello...?

[...this is neither of the two expected results. Except for the disappointment: he was half-prepared for that.]

My name is Kaori. [Tilting her head to the side, she continues to look curiously at the picture of Mithos in the tiny frame. He was certainly pretty...]

You called me, mister?

[Mithos has been back from his brief tangle with death for a day now, and with his journal now in his possession once more, it seems very necessary to call on the only person who he can call 'friend'. Times like these call for support, and not just because he's lost function in one leg. Unable to live on his own in this condition, he finds himself in a...less than ideal living situation. He doesn't know; he really just doesn't know. But speaking with Kaori always helps...]

Kaori, it's me... I just wanted to talk. [It feels like it's been too long. He wonders if she was alright while he was gone.]

[Too bad for for Mithos that Kaori isn't around. it seems she forgot her journal in the living room today. Don't worry, though. Frey is lounging on the couch, reading a book he had picked up earlier, so he'll be happy to take a message!

Or not, because he recognizes that voice. picking up the journal, he keeps his voice calm, but there is a clear tone of dislike there.] She isn't here.

[Fierce anger and hatred overtake his expression as his heart plummets into his stomach. You humans are all the same, aren't you? Then-]

Where is she? What did you do to her?

[.....Did that mean he didn't know she'd moved? He doubted that would last, however.....] I'm not her keeper. She's probably outside. why do you need to speak to her?

[Febuary 20th - Evening]

[When Kaori finally returns to her bedroom for the night, she'll find the room isn't empty. Rather, Freyjadour is sitting on her bed, staring at the door and waiting for her.

He finally got the guts to seek her out, still somewhat encouraged by Selphie's words a few days previous. It was time they talked about this.]

[Febuary 20th - Evening]

[Like she has been for the past two weeks Kaori finally comes inside rather late and shivering from facing all the wind of the day, the warmth of the house only emphasizing how cold it had been.

But when she enters her room she finds herself startled to sense Frey in there, stepping back instinctively while trying to process this. He was usually asleep by this hour, it was why she had been coming home so late...]

[Febuary 20th - Evening]

Kaori? [She looked cold..... at least, from the shivering he saw. The lights weren't on, so he couldn't see her face clearly, but the shaking and the step back made her feelings clear.

He stands, walking towards her.]

You look cold. Did you spend all day outside?

[Febuary 20th - Evening]

[She nods mutely, taking yet another step back out of instinct. She hadn't faced him properly for a long time in comparison to the past few months, and already she'd forgotten how to be properly comfortable around him.

Already she can guess why he was here waiting for her, but... she wasn't ready. She didn't know when she would be ready, and it made it so that she didn't want to have to face it. Leave Frey to his real sister and fade away into the background again, just like she had planned to the first time she came. Why was he making it hard?]

[It's about mid afternoon when Freyjadour seeks out Kaori. Hopefully, she's somewhere around the house, otherwise, he'll have to call out to her over the journals.]

[Frey won't have to look very hard, because she is indeed sitting on one of the couches of the living room, still waking up from a brief nap. Her illness from the day before was already gone, but that didn't make her any less exhausted as she rubs at her eyes.

Being sick sucks no matter how long it had been.]

[Oh Kaori.....

He had been fussing over her yesterday- trying to encourage her to eat, to keep her comfortable. He should have brought her inside, that day in the garden. She was probably ill because of it.

He takes a seat next to her, smiling softly, though there is still concern that she can probably feel.]

Are you feeling any better?

march 7th, action

Maybe? [She can feel the concern all right, though if he had tried to bring her in earlier that afternoon she would have protested vehemently, denying that she was falling ill. Not that it really mattered now, since the worst of it was over with.

Though not enough that she doesn't even think about curling into Frey it seems, making herself comfortable at his side. She just wanted to be close to each other for a bit.]

April 9th - voice

[By mid-afternoon, Mithos has settled down from the system shock that such drastic shifts usually end in. The emotional rawness has curled up and faded into a mild numbness; he's sick of thinking about it.

Which usually means it's a good time to call up on Kaori. (Usually? How long ago did this become normal?) Just as important, he wants to make sure she's alright. If she was thrown into another world too, perhaps one full of humans, one where she's still different...he grimaces.]

Kaori? I just wanted to know how you're feeling today.

April 9th - voice

[Kaori hasn't been talking much to anyone again the last week of the experiment, except for Freyjadour. Now that everything is back to normal again, she's still reeling with the reality that Frey was in her world, and she had actually met Aleos... Everything about that was terrifying, and she had not wanted to talk about it yet with anyone who wouldn't remotely understand.

Yet when she hears Mithos call her over the journal, she can't help feeling a large wave of relief. Mithos, at least, was okay for now.] Things could be better...?

April 9th - voice

[Better than he was when he woke up. Better than when he came back to his house, wished he had stayed with Sayo longer, and collapsed all over again. All traces of tears have been erased from his voice, and she won't be able to see the angry swelling beneath his eyes.]

...Yeah. I know what you mean. [a pause, then quietly:] Were you...taken to another world last week too?

April 9th - voice

... I went back home, Mithos. Except it's not home, it was just the world I was in last. [If she had returned to Anatolia she would have been in an unstoppable rage, and though she isn't aware of it she would not have remembered the visit at all, thanks to Seirou's mechanisms. All she would remember would be the intense fear and anger that was associated with the world of her birth.]

But I still don't like that there's so many Humans there.
