[It's been several days since the incident that confined her to the clinic, and frankly Kaori has become very tired of that place. Not only was she bored out of her mind, but merely the smell of it brought up fragmented memories of pain and fear from long ago. On top of that, it was lonely when no one visited. Sorry Vash, but she really can't take it anymore.

Therefore it makes sense that she sneak out, right?! Never mind that she is still badly bruised and sore everywhere due to damaged and sprained muscles, which makes walking very difficult. But what's some injuries to her? At the very least she can talk! Sort of... It takes some effort.

As for the destination she has in mind? Her apartment at the very top of CH4, pretty smart. Of course she probably won't get very far, and may end up resting in the flower shop instead. Feel free to intercept her anywhere along this stupid journey of sheer determination, she may or may not bite. And it may or may not take all day.]

A promise...? [She'd been promised the same thing many times before, but coming from Vash it seemed different, even though promises are sacred where she's from.]

Promise. And one of the doctors there is a reindeer.

A reindeer? [That manages to distract her enough for the time being, because a reindeer? How does that work?]

Yeah, he's a really good doctor, and a good friend too.

Hmm... [She's still not keen on going back to the clinic, because regardless of how nice people are there, nightmares are nightmares, especially when she can't see where she is.]

How about we go back and I'll ask Chopper to take a look at you? Would that help?

[... A doctor with a name like 'Chopper?' What the heck is this and what is it going to do to her?]

I promise! He's really nice! And cute! Come on, at least come to meet him!

[... Cute, you say? Maybe she can see him, but... Making herself a little smaller, she's still nervous about going back there. This was frustrating.]

Great! Let's go! [Picking you up and carting to the clinic.] You'll love him!

WAH~! [Wow he was eager to take her back there, wasn't he? It definitely took her off guard, so don't mind that her natural instinct is to start flailing everywhere with the intent to cause pain. It's kind of stupid, since her own limbs are healing.]

Aw! Don't worry! He'll like you! No need to be scared!

[Sure don't be scared of suddenly being picked up when that rarely happens at home outside of married couples blahblahblah~ Calming down now, but she's still a little startled. Consider this a small favor, Vash.]

[Did someone call for a fuzzy cute doctor thing? 'Cause there's one at the front desk of the clinic, just shuffling a few papers.]

[Vash walks right in with an unhappy child in his arms.] Hey there, Chopper! I have someone I want you to meet and check up on, if you could!

[Said child is still unhappy but now very curious, because how often do you come across a reindeer who happens to be a doctor too? Big eyes insert here.]

Is that her? [Chopper jumps out of his chair and trots over to look up at the two, which is a feat considering he's about three feet tall.] What's wrong?

Well... [Vash doesn't like this part. Having to think back to what Legato did.] She was here earlier, but thought she could check herself out a bit early apparently. Her throat still hurts her when she talks and I think some of the muscles in her arms and legs may still be sprained.

[That's pretty much the summary of it, aside from the ugly bruises in some areas and her clearly broken arm. Vash, you tattletale.]

[Chopper nods and silently gestures for Vash to follow him into one of the open rooms and set Kaori on the examination cot. His patient hasn't said a word since arriving and still looks pretty down, so he turns and smiles at her.]

I'm Chopper. I know I look like I'm just a reindeer, but I promise I'll fix you up, okay?

[Vash follows right behind.] See, isn't he as nice as I told you? You don't need to be afraid of the clinic.

[Already she was separating Chopper from the rest of the clinic, so that wasn't a very valid point in her mind. But she's giving a small smile in Chopper's direction, he did seem really nice.]

[A smile! Good. But by the sounds of it she has problems with doctors, so he'll try to approach this as gently as possible.]

Your arm is broken. I have to set it, but I can give you medicine to let you sleep through it or just numb the pain if you want to stay awake. I'll need to use a needle. Is that okay?
