[Kaori's been thinking a lot since her last talk with Elicia, mulling over what she said, what she was forced to share. A part of her wanted wanted to believe the little girl, that the 'bad people' wouldn't hurt her here in Luceti, but as always it was hard to push aside what she saw as justified hatred in favor of that lost affection.

So today, she wanted to try a little test, just to see how the villagers responded. After all, they were 'good people,' and wanted to be her 'friends,' right? Maybe she could gather some useful information in the meantime.]

[Vash smiles at your attempt. Pretty good for someone who's blind. He'll be sure it's still completely strong against Legato and Knives, but will give you a couple pointers on how to make it stronger rather than do it himself. Talking you through it as best he can, practice makes perfect at least.]

As for asking people what they look like? Some people may question why you need to ask, but if you word it like you're wondering what each culture finds beautiful you may fool a few people. If that's what you mean by obvious.

[Kaori tries her best to follow his instructions, glad to have someone who is willing to talk her through it. Sadly this is probably the strongest she can get it for now, but she's always been determined when it comes to learning new things.]

I hadn't thought of telling them that if they ask, I guess I'm just too used to what my world likes. I... want to have some faces to match up with the voices and people I feel in the village every day. They feel more real that way.

Good, it's just something you're going to have to keep practicing at.

[Vash nods, even though you can't see it.] Yeah, it will be nice for you to have a face to picture with the voice. When you feel more comfortable with letting people know you're blind, some people may let you touch their face so you can have an even better idea.

Touch their face? Isn't that getting pretty personal? [Heck, she's never even done that with her adoptive parents, all she knows of how they look like is a physical description. You keep coming up with interesting ideas, Vash.]

But I'm not sure about telling more people I'm blind... My younger siblings didn't even know!

Maybe a little, I'm not saying everyone will be comfortable with the idea right away, but some might.

Not even your younger siblings? That is very good and you don't have to tell anyone you don't want to.

Well... I let it slip with two people... And my roommates have to know considering how cluttered the apartment was.

Well, I've seen them made and know the recipe, but I don't usually have my own deep fryer needed to make them.
