[Kaori's been thinking a lot since her last talk with Elicia, mulling over what she said, what she was forced to share. A part of her wanted wanted to believe the little girl, that the 'bad people' wouldn't hurt her here in Luceti, but as always it was hard to push aside what she saw as justified hatred in favor of that lost affection.

So today, she wanted to try a little test, just to see how the villagers responded. After all, they were 'good people,' and wanted to be her 'friends,' right? Maybe she could gather some useful information in the meantime.]

Yup. Met him in his first month here, been making fun of him ever since.

So you've been here longer than him, then?

Yup! Only by a couple months. I found him out in the snow without a jacket. He didn't really get cold weather back then.

Was he like a little kid, then? [She remembered how excited he seemed about it in their first meeting.]

Deifnitely. He was trying to make a snowman and kinda failing. There was just this shivering, sneezing Vash and a massive pile of snow falling apart in clumps.

So Luceti was very new to him?

Very! He comes from a desert place, so all the rain and snow and the lakes were really new to him. I don't think he's ever got over it.

Wow... It's hard to imagine coming from a place that's only desert. [She hasn't even seen one.]

Same here. It's mostly ocean where I come from. I guess I'm glad he at least got to see so much water. [Even if he forgets it all when he leaves.]

O-ocean?! I-I can't swim... [If she knew about the forgetting part she would sadface forever.]

...that's a shame. Especially as we have the ocean here, now.

Are you afraid of the water, or just haven't had time?

I'd like to learn, but I've been told it's not recommended... [Not when your clan has a natural weakness to water.]

Something about tiring easily and health concerns in the long run... But I still want to learn anyway, no one at home let me.

Hmm. Did a doctor ever tell you that? It'd be a shame to miss out.

I haven't seen a doctor about it... [She didn't even know about it until she was adopted.]
