[Kaori's been thinking a lot since her last talk with Elicia, mulling over what she said, what she was forced to share. A part of her wanted wanted to believe the little girl, that the 'bad people' wouldn't hurt her here in Luceti, but as always it was hard to push aside what she saw as justified hatred in favor of that lost affection.

So today, she wanted to try a little test, just to see how the villagers responded. After all, they were 'good people,' and wanted to be her 'friends,' right? Maybe she could gather some useful information in the meantime.]

Yup! It's a survey of sorts, though only a few have answered that question. [It's almost the truth, anyway.]

Like if you have to sing a song in front of people, or you have to talk to a huge crowd of people! It can make someone real nervous to do that, y'know? Because the focus is on them. So when you ask what they look like, maybe they feel like the focus in on them there, too!

But no, Ian. You told yourself you wouldn't hide anymore! That's the point Henrietta was telling you, right? That in order to create peace and equality between them, he couldn't hide anymore!

...Still, why was it so hard to say 'this is what I am...'? 150 years of sheltering his identity from everyone did have a toll on his mental psyche, he supposed.]

... Green hair means a lot where I come from... [It was a mixed blessing really, considering what the usual bearers were infamous for these past generations. But the young man she met shortly before leaving for this series of missions, the one with green hair and sad blue eyes... The one who was kind, different from his relatives and desperate to claim the throne and heal their world...

Hearing that Ian had green hair made her a little hopeful.]

[He smiles, just a little, and his voice is a touch hopeful.]

It's one of my favorite colors, too. Life and perseverance...

What's it mean where you're from?

Hmmm... Well, I guess it means around the same thing! At least, that's how most people I know would see it. [And not always for the better.] Green is the color of life, because of the forest all around us, y'know?

Yeah! The forest helps us so much, don't you think? I like going there when I can.

Of course! The forest is the most important place, I think! It's really calming, and it helps with food and shelter and all sorts of things; I don't know where a lotta' people'd be without it!

[His excitement on the subject is pretty evident. |D;;]

Exactly! Where I'm from we allow the forests to roam free, we would never allow for nature to bend for us if it was avoidable. We bent to them, and we become one that way... [She shares your excitement, Ian. |D]

Yeah! No one's even been able to roam all the forest where I'm from—a whole bunch of it hasn't been looked at, but we'd all like to see how far it goes! Who knows what kind of interesting things you could find there!

Wow... Is your world dominated by forests, then?

[He nods to himself.]

Yup! There are only two major cities in the whole place—the rest of it is all villages scattered through the forests.

Huh... did the forests have special names or something?

Nope! It's all unnamed. There are a few roads you can take that'll help you get to certain places, but I don't really get to use 'em all that much. I prefer being pleasantly surprised about where I end up!

Does that make you nomadic? [That's what it sounds like, how exciting!]
