[With a frustrated sigh, Kaori abandons the poor attempt at communication by scratching the surface of the pen across the whole page, eventually ripping it out. It was stupid to think that just because she was able to write perfectly fine a week ago, she would be able to for a while now that she was back to normal. Things didn't work that way.

So much for trying to be anonymous about this and avoiding talking to people more than she has to, but she still wanted answers to her question anyway. Pausing for a deep breath, she dives right in.]

Is anyone out there lucky enough to have their brother or sister here?

.... I do, too. [Though she goes unexpectedly quiet. Knives had not been heard from in months, and Vash didn't seem as paranoid the few times she had heard from him in the past months. But...

Legato was still here, right? He is still the one who scares her most in this village, enough that just thinking about him makes her shiver and grab her right arm on instinct.]

[That sudden quiet unnerves him. She'd been cheerful just moments ago, so why.....?] Kaori?

[His tone is gentle, yet quietly questioning 'are you alright?' ]

.... There's someone who... [No, Vash had warned her about it before, it wouldn't be safe to talk about him over the network. Just because he went after her once didn't mean he wouldn't do so again, it was proven those times when he couldn't filter against him and he would be so vague when talking to her.]

It's not safe to talk about it here.

Not safe.....? [ What....?

Who... Had Mithos finally done something to upset her? No, he doubted it. But this was worrying nonetheless.]

...Can we talk somewhere else then?

I'm expecting someone to come by soon. [As much as she would like to tell Frey everything, was this really something he needed to know? When was the last time she had discussed it openly?]

Oh.... Alright..... [The worry is clear in his voice, but he wasn't about to demand anything of her. Frey knew better then that.]

But... If anyone is bothering you, you can tell me.

Yeah… [She want to tell someone, she needs for someone else to know what happened to her and what that man was capable of. Not even Spada had known the whole story, despite living with her at the time.]

Maybe… we can talk about it later, Freyjadour? [Because she's feeling scared again.]

Of course. Anytime you need to talk, just call me. Or come over. Whichever you like.

[He's clearly worried still, but... again, trying not to pressure her.]

Maybe in a few days? [Mithos needed her right now, and she him. Who knew how long they would be in each other's company, so it'd be best to delay it some time. It would give her some time to think about how to tell him meanwhile.]

Sure. .....I'll see you then?

Yeah... we'll see each other then, I'm sure we will. [Because seeing and hearing from Frey always made her happy now.]

And if I don't contact you by the end of the week or something, bug me until I'm ready to rip your teeth out!

And hopefully, later that week, Kaori will contact him. Otherwise, he'll be making his way to her place.]

[There were numerous times over the past few days when Kaori held the journal open in her lap, fighting with her hesitation to keep from calling out Frey. She had promised him that she would at least speak with him about it, but did it have to be so soon?

So on the fourteenth, after spending hours just staring at the open journal and listening to the ongoings of the village she will snap it shut and throw it who knows where in her apartment. But not before calling out his name over it softly.

She would have to deal with him face-to-face, and perhaps it was for the better. No matter how long it takes, she would get out of this building on her own and find him.]

[Kaori might just run into Frey making his way to her place, then. He'd gotten antsy, and it had been a few days, so he had decided to check in on her.]

[She senses him nearby once she reaches close enough to House 15, but with all these thoughts jumbling in her head she can't be sure of exactly where he is. So... better to call him out in case he's close enough to hear?]

Freyjadour! [Oh ow that was too loud and too much effort. Cough cough.]

[Blinking in surprise and looking up to see..... Kaori? A coughing Kaori. Was she sick?] I was just coming to see you.

Are you ok?

Y-yeah.... [She tries to calm down the coughing enough so she can communicate more easily.] I just... called out too loud... Got carried away...

.....Oh? ok then....

[Now that she thought about it, Frey doesn't know about her throat either, does he? But that can wait for another time, what she planned to tell him was enough to take in on it's own. What would he think, when he realizes that she has kept this to herself all this time outside of Vash and Wolfwood?]

Can we... walk around for a bit? Please?

[She didn't want to go back to her place or the house....? Well, that was fine with Frey.] Sure. Where would you like to go?

Um... [She can't know for sure of where it happened unless she gets close enough, and the few times she has walked out past sundown since it happened, she'd always found herself shaking after she crossed the bridge near her community building and continued following the river.]

The river near here goes down to a lake, right?

It does. Do you want to go there? [It was getting cooler, but Frey didn't ever mind going down by the rivers or lakes in Luceti.]

I want to go that way, yeah. Can we cross the bridge so that we're on the bank opposite of where I stay? [She distinctly remembers crossing that bridge and the sound of water.]

Sure. [He'll change their course so they're heading in that direction, a bit curious about the directions she is giving but trusting she has something in mind.]

[After that Kaori falls silent, hands clapsed firmly in front of her as she chewed her bottom lip. All those days she was given to think, and none of the ideas she came up with were good enough. So better to just stay silent like she's always been told to.]
