✿ Tenth Bud [action/accidental voice]

[Kaori and Frey were still not speaking to each other much, nor had they been home very often since the whole fiasco involving Mithos during the weekend. One could even safely assume that they have been avoiding each other, something that their other housemates could have picked up on. Today had been nor different from the last few.

But the instant Kaori walks into the house for the evening, an overwhelming sense of cold comes down on her. It makes her fall to her knees, the journal that she has been so careful about keeping with her falling open on her lap.]

No...

[She then rushes to the room she shares with Frey, all the while trying to deny that sinking feeling in the bottom of her stomach that refused to stop until she reaches the doorway... and is met with an empty room.]

Freyja.... You idiot!!

[Housemates, you know that divider that separates Kaori's space from Frey's? It's now going through the wall of the window and outside. The casual observer may also feel free to notice this display of emotion, or overhear it over the journal that she had brought alongside her and is now nestled open on the bare floor.]

[Zan'nen had set out for the night, intended to hunt down Freyjadour and make him pay. Really, how dare he not tell him Kaori was in trouble? How dare he think that he didn't need to know, or want to know, or whatever the hell was going through his mind at the time.

But hell, when he was wondering around his house trying to figure out just how to burst in, he certainly wasn't expecting a divider to fly through the window directly in front of him. If he'd been here any sooner, it would've nearly taken him out.]

[Don't look now Zan'nen, but inside that room the divider just flew out from Kaori is just kneeling on the floor, occasionally banging her fists on the floor and trying her best not to cry, but that is far easier said than done.]

K-... Kaori? [Zan'nen hesitates for a moment, but jumps up through the opening and lands in the room, managing somehow miraculously only to slice open his hand. He pulls down his sleeve and covers it, taking a few more forward steps towards Kaori.] Kaori?

What happened to the Prince?

[He want to say it's a kidnapping. But she just cried out to the Prince, not cursing the Malnosso. And he really don't think the idiot's stupid enough to pull a stunt to upset people on purpose.]

Masaomi...? [Why is there a part of her asking if Masaomi would even care that Frey was gone? That wasn't something she should be thinking about right now.]

[The moment Gold hears that crash from Frey's room, he bolts up from laying on his bed, and dashes towards the doorway.]

Hey! What's goin'... [His voice drops when he sees the state of the room, however.] ...On...

[Kaori doesn't notice Gold's entrance at first, not really. She's just sitting on the floor and directing her sightless gaze to the floor beneath, unsure of what she should do next.]

[That just prompts Gold to grit his teeth, clench his fist. That idiot... After they had that talk about how Frey had to protect Kaori, he just up and disappears?!]

[Don't mind him listening in on those conversations up there, just long enough to get an idea of what's going on anyways, before moving on to something else.

Frey is gone, then? That's...

Unfortunate is probably the wrong word. Anyone leaving here is a good thing, no matter what people may say otherwise.

It's a shame he didn't get to know him better though.]

[Poor Kaori. Ven's trying to sound upbeat, despite the circumstances. He's definitely worried, though.]

[...Mithos is almost hesitant to reply, after that last conversation, when he had just left. He's still hurt, still confused, but...she sounds so broken. There's something painfully familiar about it. Despite everything, he can't ignore it.]

...Kaori? [Had Frey hurt her? Vindictive anger flares up. Maybe things could start making sense again...]

[Kaori had been left just as hurt as he was, probably, albeit in a different way. Regardless of what happened the last time they spoke, though, to say she wasn't a little bit happy and relieved to hear from him again would be inaccurate. But they're just fleeting sentiments, because... he had been angry with her because she was with Frey, hadn't he? Did that mean... he would be happier now?]

[all the uncertainty is pushed down beneath the surface, overtaken by growing anger.] What did he do?! [because he must have done something, for her to sound this hurt.]

[What's going on over here? Silver glances in the doorway, and-

-And Frey's things are gone. Kaori's upset. That's what happens when someone leaves, isn't it? Even their things disappear.

...It isn't really his place to be here, and he should probably leave Kaori alone... But he decides against it, opting to hover in the doorway instead. He's not sure what he should do, but... He doesn't just want to leave her alone.]

[Kaori appreciates his presence, at least. It was hard to be alone in a room that she was supposed to be sharing with the person she considered her brother, whom she may very well never get to see again. She won't say much, occasionally fiddling with what feels like pieces of paper to her; Jana had gotten to tearing up the box of letters Frey had left behind before anyone could read them.]
