✿ Eleventh Bud [Action/Voice late morning]

[Things hadn't been easy the past few weeks; there had been ups and downs, much more of the latter than she would ever admit to. And as far as she could tell, it would not get better any time soon. At the very least, the weather was beginning to change even if she couldn't see it for herself. There was just something about the air of spring approaching that always managed to lift her spirits a little, and what better way to greet it than to start working on that neglected garden outside of House 11? Who cares how cold it is out, the plants are of higher priority.

It isn't until after an hour or so of working that her journal falls off her person and sprawls open in the dirt, making her frown upon hearing the familiar noise of it being activated. Taking to people probably wasn't a good idea right now, but she can try.]

… What are your favorite things about spring? Or… things you like the least about it I guess. Anything really.

[Later in the evening the residents of the large household might notice that she's managed to make her way to Silver's room instead of her own, though if anyone drops by the reason should be pretty obvious. You don't go through weeks of emotional whiplash and a day out in the cold dressed improperly without coming out unscathed.]

If a ruler doesn't consider them important they are a terrible ruler. If you don't have the support of the people its only a matter of time till someone who is better suited to rule is doing so.

I guess the rulers in your world are a lot more humane than the ones I've heard of? [Or they are incredibly naive, one way or the other.]

[chibifalenas]

No, there are terrible ones too. Just historically they tend to be the ones that are overthrown.

[seiriald]

Well you have Freyjadour, don't you? I don't think you have to worry about being overthrown if he's that bent on protecting you.

[chibifalenas]

Well, if I was awful, I don't think he'd protect me. I love my brother and he is strong, but that strength will only get you so far.

[seiriald]

... You really think so? Maybe you're underestimating him a little, Lymsleia.

[chibifalenas]

No. I know he knows right from wrong. If I was a terrible Queen I know he would try to make me better, and if he couldn't, he has the ability to bring people's hearts together to stop things like that.

[seiriald]

Does he? Do the people back in his home really like him that much? [Though she can see why, and it frustrated her all the more because of it.]

[chibifalenas]

They really do.

[She smiles and nods]

... That's good, he's an amazing person even though he's weird.

[chibifalenas]

He really really is!

[seiriald]

[... Okay, she can't help laughing a little that Lym had been so willing to agree with the fact she had just called Frey 'weird,' especially when he so often protested.]

What else do you think of him, Lymsleia?

[chibifalenas]

I love my brother very much... But I think that sometimes he lets people take advantage of him. I mean the whole time he was trying to save me his tactician put him in the most RIDICULOUS looking outfit.

And then there was that whole thing with the house of Barrows before they collapsed. Politics is a very dirty game and I think he's too nice to be deeply involved in it for long.

[seiriald]

... Yeah, he really is too kind. [For god's sake, he allowed himself to adopt her as his sister, even though she still thought it to be a rather bad idea for him in the long run. She's seen that kindness be taken advantage of before, only to have it brutally crushed or have the person disappear altogether. Never to be seen alive again, if at all.]

[chibifalenas]

That's why I made him the head of my knights. He can be direct and continue to think the best of everyone and leave the dealing with slime balls to me and people who well... Don't need to just see the best in everyone.

[She looks down a bit and sighs]

But doesn't the head of a group of knights have to come across and deal punishment to those who don't have good intentions? Obviously they are needed to protect whoever it is they need to from some ugly-hearted people.

[chibifalenas]

In a warrior's sense yes, and brother is good with that, but not in a political sense.

[seiriald]

But I don't really see what the difference is?

[chibifalenas]

Different posturing, different stances and facial expressions. When someone is trying to stab you they act differently than when they want to stab you in the back.

[seiriald]

Not really, if you pay attention to only that then you're not going to be able to tell who is a friend or not. It makes it sound like everyone is exactly the same.

[chibifalenas]

In a lot of ways that's how the senate was. I'm hoping that getting rid of them makes that less the theme of things.

[seiriald]

As if, that'll only get them more mad at you if you take away their power or threaten it. That's how Hu – ... that's how things always end up.

[chibifalenas]

...Not really, most of the noble houses were killed in the civil war.
