[With a frustrated sigh, Kaori abandons the poor attempt at communication by scratching the surface of the pen across the whole page, eventually ripping it out. It was stupid to think that just because she was able to write perfectly fine a week ago, she would be able to for a while now that she was back to normal. Things didn't work that way.

So much for trying to be anonymous about this and avoiding talking to people more than she has to, but she still wanted answers to her question anyway. Pausing for a deep breath, she dives right in.]

Is anyone out there lucky enough to have their brother or sister here?

Halloween? [It was something she had heard about in passing, though she only had a vague idea of what it was all about.]

Well... Last year we were forced into costumes, and the village changed. Carved Pumpkins and decorations were all over the village, and the nights got foggy.

People started seeing and hearing things, Hallucinating. Like living nightmares, there a moment, gone the next. By the end of the week, some people were near crippled by all the horrible things they saw.

[... If she weren't already expecting Mithos to drop by at any minute now, Kaori would be well on her way to where Frey is. But right now all she can do is sit there and listen, imagining what that must be like. She was fortunate enough to not remember many of the deaths that so impacted her for the time being, but she was still left with the memory of the day she and her brother had been taken away from their mother.

[He's trying not to focus on the memories, more worried about Kaori being subjected to such a thing.] I don't want you to be alone if something like that happens again. It's bad enough when you have someone with you- My mother was alive and well in Luceti at the time.

But letting you be alone during that? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried.

[Frey had had his mother here, a year ago? She almost, no, does feel jealous of him for that. Having someone you actually know here with you... She wanted it, too.

But this wasn't what they were focusing on right now. Even though she knows he cares for her, it still felt so strange to hear such concern from Frey. Accepting that some Humans really were kind was still an ongoing process.] Youre worried about me...?

[Frey would be the first to admit the chance Luceti had given to him to see her again was something he was deeply grateful for. He knew the chance to see a dead loved one was something rare, even in Luceti.]

I'm... just not used to it, I guess! Kinda stupid, huh? [She laughs a little nervously, mulling the idea over in her mind. If she got worried over him it would make sense for him to become worried over her, right? He's just trying to be nice, a good big brother...]

If you really don't want to stay, though, as I said, I do understand.

.... I didn't stay I didn't want to stay... [Simply speaking to Frey was enough to make her feel safe and warm, enough to calm her down with the right words. Which he seems to have a talent for. And there weren't as many people living in this building as there were before, not as many that she knew...]

[her words were quiet, but Frey hears them loud and clear.] You're always welcome to come stay with me, Kaori. Big or small, it matters not.

It doesn't? [There's a faint hint of hope in her voice, almost as though she were waiting him to confirm it further.]

Of course it doesn't. You're still yourself, just taller and a tad less prone to wild goose chases through town. [Laughing a bit at that.] At least I hope so.

You think so? Maybe Mister Calvin would say something different if you asked him. She manages a small laugh of her own, maybe Frey should try sharing stories with Vash and Wolfwood about dealing with her sometime.]

Mister Calvin? [Huh, he's never heard of this person. Someone from Kaori's home....?]

A friend of mine, he was the first person who I met when I first arrived here. [And she will forever be grateful to him for helping her out then, and so many other times afterward. She would do nearly anything for him because of that.]

He checked up on me sometimes, but I don't think he lives in this building anymore.

I see.... He treated you kindly, then? I hope he's faring well if that's the case.

.... I do, too. [Though she goes unexpectedly quiet. Knives had not been heard from in months, and Vash didn't seem as paranoid the few times she had heard from him in the past months. But...

Legato was still here, right? He is still the one who scares her most in this village, enough that just thinking about him makes her shiver and grab her right arm on instinct.]

[That sudden quiet unnerves him. She'd been cheerful just moments ago, so why.....?] Kaori?

[His tone is gentle, yet quietly questioning 'are you alright?' ]

.... There's someone who... [No, Vash had warned her about it before, it wouldn't be safe to talk about him over the network. Just because he went after her once didn't mean he wouldn't do so again, it was proven those times when he couldn't filter against him and he would be so vague when talking to her.]

I'm expecting someone to come by soon. [As much as she would like to tell Frey everything, was this really something he needed to know? When was the last time she had discussed it openly?]

Oh.... Alright..... [The worry is clear in his voice, but he wasn't about to demand anything of her. Frey knew better then that.]

But... If anyone is bothering you, you can tell me.

Yeah… [She want to tell someone, she needs for someone else to know what happened to her and what that man was capable of. Not even Spada had known the whole story, despite living with her at the time.]

Maybe… we can talk about it later, Freyjadour? [Because she's feeling scared again.]

[He's clearly worried still, but... again, trying not to pressure her.]

Maybe in a few days? [Mithos needed her right now, and she him. Who knew how long they would be in each other's company, so it'd be best to delay it some time. It would give her some time to think about how to tell him meanwhile.]
