[All she had expected when she decided to come inside after yet another long day of gardening was to clean up and go straight to bed, especially after the wind had done much to hamper her progress with the small seedlings that were shooting up from the ground. While it had been bordering on nuisance, she had been otherwise cheered up to notice that the several more of the hardier plants had already started blooming.

But all happiness that had come with it was washed away while in the process of walking toward the door she finds herself picking up on a series of familiar noises behind her, ones she had never wanted to hear again and that she knew for a fact did not belong to anyone inside the safe household just beyond her reach. There's an unintentional, startled cry as she drops her coat and her journal to falls open in order for her reflexes to kick into gear to resist the droids, desperate to avoid capture while she silently hoped that someone inside would notice but not at the same time.

But her erratic behavior and moves made it that much easier to knock her out and take her away, so anyone who happened to hear her cry for help will find no trace of her anywhere outside the house other than her dropped possessions, tossed amidst several plants that had been trampled in the process.]

[He doesn't want him to see the panic written all over his face, so he ducks his head even though the same panic is evident in his entire body language. His whitened knuckles tremble in the frustration of knowing there's nothing he can do, just like weeks ago there was nothing he could do to help Martel.]

Damn them...!

[tsuntrader]

[...Seeing Mithos so upset... Makes it easier for him to keep himself together. Of course, that leaves the dilemma of what to actually say, if anything. Something tells him that nothing he says will be well received.]

[Silver is very right about that. Mithos will fill the silence with his own rattled thoughts and desperate words squeezed through clenched teeth.] She'll be back...she'll be back...

[imatreenow]

[...Wouldn't she? It was just a kidnapping, right? Like his sister...?] Her things...are her things still here? Where are her belongings?

[tsuntrader]

I brought her stuff inside. Nothing's disappeared.

[His heart can stop plummeting at least. She would come back. Waiting...he can do waiting. He hates it, and he never knows what to do with himself in the meantime, and it only tears at him from the inside, but it's better than having nothing to wait for. But until she comes back...he has too many ideas of what she could be suffering through. He's already torn up his mind thinking about everything that could be happening to his sister at any moment, and it looks like he only has more nightmares to add to the pile festering in him.

He's silent for a few moments.]

[imatreenow]

[Then he finally looks at Silver again, directly.] If you're lying to me...

[tsuntrader]

[...Oh no. Don't even go there, Mithos.] If you want to come in and check her room for her stuff, go ahead. I wouldn't lie about something like that.

[imatreenow]

[He hesitates only briefly over the idea of setting foot the house. He needs to confirm it with his own eyes.]

...Show me.

[tsuntrader]

[This is a completely unexpected and surprising turn of events.]

Hurry up. [And with that, Silver is heading inside.]

[imatreenow]

[He follows as quickly as he can, grimacing as he passes over the threshold. This...isn't where he expected to end up, but then again he really wasn't thinking about much outside of Kaori when he rushed over here.]

[tsuntrader]

[He quickly makes his way up the stairs and in front of Kaori's room; it's painfully clear that he's not really concerned about whether or not Mithos can keep up with him. He really just wants to get this over with.]

[imatreenow]

[...Thanks, dick. He'll take a while with those stairs, half clinging to the banister as he hoists himself up one step at a time. Luckily he's light, or else he might break the darn thing. He gets to the top eventually, eyes swiveling around mistrustfully - he really hopes that nobody else intercepts him.]

[tsuntrader]

[Like you would accept help anyway.

But nope, no one around but an antsy Silver, waiting in front of Kaori's door.]

[imatreenow]

[Maybe he just likes being pissed off at you, Silver. The more reasons to hate you, the better. Eventually, he catches up to him.]

[tsuntrader]

No snooping around or touching anything. [Don't be a creep. With that, he opens the door for him to explore.]

[imatreenow]

[He has no intentions of doing any of that, so he doesn't even bother to address Silver's warning as he steps into the room. He doesn't know where the lamp is - and it quickly dawns on him that Kaori wouldn't need a light - but the lights from the hallway spill in to show him what he needs to see. Some clothes are strewn over the floor, and they seem familiar. He can see the dim shape of a bed further inside, piled with...stuffed animal toys? He exhales softly in relief and his heart can start to calm down a little bit.]

[tsuntrader]

[Yep, Silver's just gonna wait out here and not go rummaging around a blind girl's room. Sounds like a good plan.]

[imatreenow]

[Hey, neither is he. All he wanted was to be sure she hadn't left for good.]

...She'll be back. [His voice is quiet, small, close to empty. He doesn't bother turning to face Silver again, because his words aren't directed at him.]

[tsuntrader]

Of course she will. [Soon. Not soon enough. Kidnapped. No, stop that. Everything's fine and she'll be back soon.]

[imatreenow]

[Still ignoring you, Silver, staring blankly into the dark room. He's too wrapped up in his own frantically spinning thoughts.]

Just like Martel will be back... They'll both be back soon, and they'll [I'll] be okay... [He hopes...he really hopes. His fingers curl into tight fists at his sides, trembling.]

[tsuntrader]

[Like Martel will be...

Martel was kidnapped. Silver blanches, and suddenly he's far happier about the fact that Mithos isn't so much as remotely looking in his direction.]

[imatreenow]

[It takes him a few more moments to remember he isn't alone and to realize that a few steps away from a breakdown isn't somewhere he wants to be in front of Silver. Deep breaths in out in out except it does nothing to withdraw his terror.

He finally turns back to Silver, to glare fiercely. For lack of something better to do. Because he can't show his anger to the Malnosso in person. He doesn't have words though.]

[tsuntrader]

[He looks at Mithos for a moment. His expression is a mix of things, but the most prominent trait is how unsettled he looks.

He then lets out a sigh before pulling himself together, and...

...And saying nothing. He's just going to turn around and start heading towards the stairs, pausing midway through to look at him, as if he's waiting for Mithos to follow him.]

[He catches that unsettled look, and he doesn't want to wonder why it's there. He isn't in the mood for much of anything right now, especially not endless questions that clash inside him.

He tries to harden his face against the traces of unhinged panic that are still evident as he follows Silver. There's no reason to stay here. But he moves slowly, so as to avoid catching up with him.]
