[It's been some time since everyone returned from the battle, only to find out that the village had been damaged greatly once they were back. Kaori hadn't been able to tell right away until she began to feel unexpectedly tired, and no matter where she went it felt wet. It was only then that she realized the extent of the storm people had talked about.

It meant that there was a lot of damage control to be done, but she's not thinking buildings. What mattered to her was what the plants and flower beds throughout the village had suffered. Thanks to the efforts of her housemates her own garden had been mostly unscathed, but that didn't stop her from mourning what had been died. So she'd finally had enough of seeing them that way. Today was going to be dedicated to replanting what seedlings she'd found in the flower shop and sowing new seeds throughout the village. It didn't matter where, she just didn't want for there to be a lack of one of the few things that made this place remotely like home.

Eventually she does address the village at large, though her voice is rather solemn.]

I know that there's supposed to be a Memory Garden for the village... Can someone tell me what's going on with it? I'd kind of like to plant something there if it's okay to.

[Daisies. She'd already given them their place in House 11's garden, but with the memory of the person they were dedicated to, Kaori felt it best to scatter them as far as she could. Selphie had always seemed like such a free spirit, after all.]

Huh? I think I could be okay with doing this... [She's done it plenty of times on her own back home, though all those times she usually had her brother point out which places needed more love.]

Yeah, I heard it's a project that the Welcome Center or something was working on? But I've never seen it... [Which was kind of obvious since she can't see to begin with.]

No, not quite. I was here before. [Even if she couldn't remember anything about it until she was brought back.] This project...must be something fairly-recent, then?

O-oh... [Yet another person who had left only to return... There were a lot of questions on Kaori's mind about that, but it would be rude to ask them all.]

Kind of, I heard about it a few months back but I never really got interested in it until now. How long were you gone if you didn't know?

[With the repairs finally finished, the flower shop has finally been put back in order as well, that muddy swampy smell is gone, and the bug infestation dealt with.

There's yet another party to attend this evening, which prompts an earlier than usual visit to the shop from Raine. Mostly for her own peace of mind, as the plants have been doing better.]

[At first Kaori doesn't really notice Raine nearby. It had been a long time since they'd come into contact for a significant amount of time with one another, and her mind was too preoccupied with other things anyway. It's why she almost bumps into her as she happens to make her way around the shop.]

[The unexpected bumping nearly makes Raine drop the tray in her hands, but she keeps it steady. That voice, that girl, it was - hm.] -- It's no trouble. Are you all right?

[It's Raine speaking that tips Kaori off on who it is, and right away her expression hardens. Stupid, she'd been doing such a good job of avoiding her...]

The Memory Garden? [He remembers hearing about it at some point, but as a rule he takes little interest in anything that's public domain.] Are you planting flowers in someone's memory?

[If he recalls correctly, villagers are encouraged to honor not only those who come and go from Luceti, but those who have been left behind in home worlds.]

Yeah, kinda... [It was more for Frey's sake than anything, and though she'd never been close to Selphie by any means, the other woman had been kind to her anyway.]

No...not really. [She likes to garden, so she should be able to garden wherever she likes. But other villagers are a constant uncertainty to him.] I was just curious. Who are you planting them for?

A friend of Freyjadour's? She left a while ago, after everything that happened here in the village. [He'd definitely taken it terribly, subdued as he had been. Kaori didn't think he was fooling anyone, but that was just her opinion.]
